Reader To Ticket Writers: ‘Please Read Signs!’
One keen-eyed Expired Meter reader has caught at least one Chicago ticket writer with some below average reading skills.
A reader named Tom, documented two Fridays ago, April 2 (the day after most street cleaning begins) how at least one vehicle downtown got hit with a $50 street cleaning ticket, even though the restriction didn’t kick in for another week.
In fact, the vehicle in question was parked right in front of a sign with the April 15th start date printed in 3″ high letters. DOH!
