The Denver boot is going upscale.
Because, according to a nice piece from Chicago Breaking News, north suburban Lake Forest is planning to launch their booting program at the start of the New Year.
You see it’s not just the City of Chicago having financial problems these days.
Even the toniest of suburbs seem to be suffering from the recession, including Lake Forest.
While Chicago is owed over half a billion dollars in unpaid parking tickets, Lake Forest is owed a scandalous $21,000 from 16 serial suburban scofflaws. One person owes a total of $3030 in Lake Forest parking tickets where the typical parking ticket fine is $15.
According to the article, Schaumburg and Libertyville are two other suburbs employing the boot these days.
