Ald. Leslie Hairston’s proposal got discussed in the City Council on Monday, venting her and Ald. Manny Flores’ utter frustration with Chicago Parking Meters, LLC and LAZ.

Flores requested the Law Department look into the severability of the lease deal based on performance issues.

CPM officials tried to shrug off the heated allegations.

This site also learned that Ald. Joe Moore asked Ald. Ed Burke, to cancel the hearings on the meter lease deal to be heard in the Finance Committee, to be postponed until further notice.

It seems, according to Ald. Moore’s 49th Ward office, the alderman wanted more time to look over the details of the deal and contract before diving headlong into hearings.
