    CDOT has a history of ignoring federal/accepted standard for road safety, to build agenda-driven projects:

    - road-dieting Lawrence Avenue even though traffic exceeded the level at which road diets are not recommended

    - refusing to fix short yellow lights, even though it would reduce car accidents (can’t let that ticket revenue drop)
