Why enable the CTA to make more bad financial decisions, like:

    - the $500M abandoned hole in the ground that was to be the Loop CTA Super Station

    - spending $200M on fixing one CTA station at Wilson

    - spending $600M on a “flyover ramp” at Belmont that would shave a whopping 20 seconds off the commute time, while decimating blocks of Central Lakeview

Streetsblog Blames Drivers For Poorly Designed S. Side Bike Lanes That Bring Drivers, Bikers And Pedestrians Into Conflict – Chicago Streetsblog

Just as it was the case elsewhere, CDOT mis-designs bike lanes and bus lanes, failing to account for the facts that vehicles need to use those streets to pick up and drop off passengers and packages. Then CDOT blames drivers for its own incompetence. Engineering FAIL!

Can’t wait to see this taxpayer subsidized anti-car lobby dry up and blow away when the federal dollar food dish is empty
