Surprise – It’s Legal To Cross The Bike Lane In Order To Parallel Park – Chainlink

I’m curious….why the heck would someone think it ISN’T Legal to cross a bike lane in order to parallel park at a curb?

I get why people that bike get annoyed with the morons that just STOP in a Bike Lane…but seriously….how was this even a question? How the hell else are you supposed to pull to the curb to parallel park?

Having said that though….you should yield to any bikers that are in the lane before you just start to back into the curb…safety after all.

Looks like this was a discussion on the biker forum Chainlink:

seems like a fairly obvious question but it somehow merited discussion there
