Better Ways To Honor Obama Than Adding Another State Holiday – Chicago Tribune

I’ll take a State Holiday over screwing up Traffic near Jackson (I think) Park.

  2. Jeff says:

    Whether it’s

    1. tearing tearing out Cornell Ave in Jackson Park (soon to be Obama Park if the PC police have their way); or

    2. another state holiday (even one that does not include employee paid time off),

all this is stuff Illinois can ill afford, so long as the state is billions in the hole. General Assembly needs to pass a no-tax-hike, Doomsday spending cut budget now.

  3. Jeff says:

Drew – same thing goes for the unnecessary expense of:

Rename The Tri-State Tollway For Barack Obama, Lawmaker Proposes – DNA Chicago

  4. Jeff says:

New Illinois Bill Would Require Red Light Camera Revenue To Go Toward Fixing Roads – Illinois News Network

Shouldn’t this already be required under the lockbox amendment that just passed the last election:

  5. Jeff says:

Chicago Cop In Crooked Tow Truck Scheme Is Now Tow Driver Himself – Chicago Sun-Times

Time for a new tough regulatory regime for tow companies and tow drivers – they have brought this on themselves.
