With my father being in charge of the finances, believe me, Standard is paying all their taxes as well as millions of dollars to the federal government that was required for the merger to take place. Twelve years ago Standard Parking was weeks away from going under, when my father was hired. Standard would not exist today without him. I have learned it's not. All one has to do is get a little more data and view any particular thing by thinking about what is in the best interest of those people in the institution of government making the decisions. Not in the best interest of the people. In the best interest of those making the decision. What increases their power, what increases their budgets, what advances their career, what puts more money in their pockets, and so on. At that point government does not seem stupid any more.
