Lake Shore Drive Closes For Bike Event Sunday Morning
Planning an early morning drive along the lakefront on Sunday?
You may have to settle for taking a detour because Lake Shore Drive will be closed for Bike the Drive Sunday morning.
The annual event, organized by the Active Transportation Alliance, closes the drive to motor vehicles 57th St. all the way to Bryn Mawr Ave. from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
The closing allows thousands of bikers a chance to ride the 15 mile route. Some bikers do a full 30 mile loop.

I rode in that today…did pretty well.
This is one of those things that the City can do more than once a year I think.
LSD needs to be shut down for bikes from time to time. Screw the motor vehicles
