Local Band Promotes With Fake Parking Tickets

Adam Becvare realizes the power of a strong, provocative graphical imagery.

That’s why, every time local post punk band The Lustkillers returns to Chicago from touring to do a show, the band’s lead singer usually prints up show fliers which look strikingly like a bright orange Chicago parking ticket.

The Lustkillers play a show Tuesday night, February 28th at Debonair, 1575 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood.

Didn’t a Chicken Wing restaurant do this and then get a Legal Notice of Cease and Desist from the City a few years ago?

  2. Thank you sir, may I have another?

  3. Pete says:

Show up at the venue where the band is playing and protest in the form of a fake “notice of license revokation” on the door.

  4. Pete (a different one) says:

Um…did they intentionally spell Illinois “Illnoise” twice?

  5. Maria says:

i was really upset and terrified the first time i saw a ticket/flyer about 7 years ago for a rave. Afterwards i thought it was the coolest thing ever!
