Photos on Illinois HCP Placards. Never Issued for more than 6 months if not a Perm Disability. Citation worthy if Altered in Any way….Don’t allow Lamination of the Permits.

The funny thing Geek…the CPD and Department of Revenue are supposed to be doing those checks daily also….not just the Sec State Police.

I think you’re comparing green apples to red apples here.

This enforcement is checking handicapped spaces at malls for abuse.

The Sun-Times story focused on drivers misusing placards to park for free at metered spots on the street.

In this regard, and from my own personal experience, I believe abuse is rampant.

The DMV’s recent handicap placard abuse experience is vastly different than that of the local media. The local media gave the impression the abuse was rampant, but the state’s experience was barely 6% and during a high volume shopping time period at heavily traveled shopping malls.

I’m sorry…but “Just” taking the placards away isn’t enough apparently since illegal use is still occurring.

Fine them and Suspend their licenses already.
