Some Parking Lots Closed For Maintenance
This past week a handful of metered surface parking lots around the city have been closed or partially closed for maintenance–more specifically resurfacing and seal coating according to the Chicago Parking Meters website.
This includes lots located at 4519 N. Lincoln (Lincoln Square), 1938 W. Monterey, 417 E.75th and 1130 W. Lawrence (Uptown).
The parking lots began being worked on Monday, August 22nd and will re-open between Thursday and next Tuesday, August 30th.
For more information, check the Chicago Meters website for all the details and specific schedules.

One might note that the cost of resurfacing and seal coating is being paid for by Morgan Stanley and not the City of Chicago.
One might also note that the City would never have spent this money if it was still being done on the City’s dime, which means the work would never have been done.
How nice that the public gets to have a safe and nicely paved lot to park in.
I’m just sayin…
“As part of our continued maintenance of our parking lots we will begin resurfacing and seal coating four of our parking lots.”
Anyone else bothered by the repetitive use of the word “our”?
Off Topic Rumor:
Ser Co no longer has City Enforcement Contract.
CPM has Meter Enforcement of their Own on the streets now.
I just saw some ticket writers yesterday evening with SERCO vests.
I made that same comment to the person that mentioned the rumor to me.
They are looking into when SerCo stop’s doing the job.
Rather I should say that I saw Ser Co Issued tickets while on Patrol on Wednesday.
