Daley Takes Job With Parking Meter Deal Law Firm
Ex-Mayor Daley gave Chicagoans one last slap in the face after exiting office just a few weeks ago.
This past week, according to Crain’s Chicago Business, Daley took a position at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP–the high powered local law firm which helped negotiate the former mayor’s much criticized parking meter privatization deal.
Katten Muchin billed Chicago $663,000 for their meter lease deal work according to the Chicago Tribune.
Of course, that sweet, the high paying work on Chicago’s infamous parking meter lease deal the former Mayor doled out to Katten Muchin has nothing to do with why Daley was hired.
Here’s Crain’s full story, “Daley joins law firm Katten Muchin.”

wow
Figures. Not parking related, but mayors of suburbs (more like exo-suburbs like Joliet) have been donating to Daley’s campaigns so long as he opposed a Chicago casino. And of course, once he “pulled the ejection seat lever” on his career over the meter deal, he got to keep his stash of campaign money.
