City Sticker Sales On The Road At Ward Offices
City Clerk Susana Mendoza seems to be on a perpetual road trip for the entire month of June and the first half of July.
Mendoza has committed to personally visiting all 50 neighborhood aldermanic offices over Chicago’s city sticker season to assist her merry band of City Clerk staffers ward office sales.
Ward sales are scheduled throughout all of June and the first two weeks of July, to make it more convenient for drivers who don’t want to drive to City Hall, other city locations, local Currency Exchanges or order their city sticker online.
On Monday, Mendoza’s city sticker roadshow showed up in the 30th ward to help out with sales at Ald. Ariel Reboyras’ office. On Tuesday, City Clerk staff will be conducting sales at Police Headquarters at 3510 S Michigan Ave, in the 1st floor Multi-Purpose Room and in Ald. Sandy Jackson’s 7th ward office at 7123 S Exchange.
In fact, the City Clerk’s office has set up a Google calendar for drivers to find dates and locations of individual ward sales, and a new City Clerk YouTube site chronicling Mendoza’s adventures around the city.
And if you’re not sure where the closest city sticker sales location is to you, try out the Clerk’s new handy dandy sales location finder. Just type in your zipcode and viola’, a multitude of convenient choices in your area.
City Clerk spokesperson Kristine Williams wanted to make it perfectly clear, you don’t have to live in a the ward where the sale is going on to purchase a city sticker there.
“People can attend any ward sale date,” explains Williams. “They don’t need to live in the ward.”
