Last Day To Buy Chicago City Stickers

Late Fees, Enforcement Begin On Sunday

Officially, the grace period for purchasing your Chicago 2010-2011 city vehicle sticker was yesterday, July 3oth.

However, enforcement doesn’t begin until Sunday, August 1st and you can still purchase your city sticker Saturday before late fees kick in.

There are three ways to buy today, as long as you purchase it by 11:59 PM on Saturday, July 31st.

City of Chicago Dept. of Revenue Payment Center

Located in the River North area, at 400 W. Superior, this location is open from 8 AM until 3:30 PM on Saturdays.

Currency Exchanges & Dominick’s

You can purchase your city sticker at any local Currency Exchange or even at the customer service counter at Dominick’s grocery stores.

In fact, many Currency Exchanges are open 24 hours a day.

City Clerk’s website

While you will not receive your city sticker in time to slap it on your windshield before Sunday, you can still order it online at the City Clerk’s website without having to pay the $40 late fee as long as you do it before midnight.

Alright! You’d better move it!

Walked out of my House today in Ward X, and saw SerCo van’s down the street…….About 15 cars on my block with Orange on them.

The City gave you 16 free Extra Days……..and you people can’t get it done.

I was parked on Ashland near Division, and did the usual for a Sunday: put an old parking meter sticker on my dash. I figure the police aren’t inclined to pull over and take a close look. When I got out of my hair appointment, I saw a SERCO meter man working his way up the street. He was writing what looked like fistfuls of tickets, but hadn’t made to my car, yet. No more recycling stickers for me. :(

That’s a shame Vera…….Would have laughed at you if you’d gotten tagged.

Any plans to ever start ticketing people for using last year’s temp passes after June 30, 2010? It’s rampant on my street. Over-buying blue 2009 temp permits (which technically are no longer valid after June 30, 2010) made me feel like a schmuck. But buying new tan 2010 temp permits instead of just using last year’s apparently consequence free makes me feel like even more of one!
